IU World Language Festival Virtual Academy
The IU World Language Festival (WLF) is presented in the form of a free, ongoing virtual course, the Virtual Academy, which includes live language lessons and self-study language and culture lessons, all developed and presented by IU language faculty and graduate students.
This year, the Center for Language Technology (CeLT) has organized the WLF Virtual Academy with additional support from new collaborators: the Center for Language Excellence, the Center for the Study of Global Change, and the School of Education’s Global Education Initiatives project.
The WLF Virtual Academy features a combination of pre-recorded instructional lessons, interactive activities, and live lessons. WLF lessons and activity content are housed within a Canvas course created for this event that is accessible to the general public through free registration with IU Expand. Registration is open and ongoing!
This course is for: K-12 students, educators, parents, college and graduate students, and anyone who aspires to widen their world! All are welcome to participate in this event.
For IU Language Faculty, AIs, FLTAs and eligible graduate students: We are now calling for lesson and activity proposals! Please click the button below to learn more about how you can become a presenter at WLF.
