The WLF historically was a one-day event usually hosted on a Saturday on the IU Bloomington campus.
The first IU WLF event was organized in 2009 and has been offered on the Bloomington campus every two or three years since. With live language and culture lessons, musical performances, arts and crafts, exhibitions and more, this free event is sure to be fun for K-12 students, their families, educators, college students, as well as the general public. Now, the WLF is also offered virtually in the form of a Canvas course, which has made it accessible to members of the public outside of Indiana, and even worldwide!
We hope the WLF plants a seed in every participant to develop a life-long passion for active learning that will help everyone thrive in the 21st century global economy.
